Fingerprint sensor named Touch ID

According to some rumors on the internet the new iPhone 5S will have a very interesting feature. It will have a fingerprint sensor. Yesterday The Wall Street Journal confirmed that the new model to be unveiled today at 10:00 AM Pacific Time in Cupertino, California will have this feature.

Recently, a few hours ago a handbook photo of the iPhone 5S appeared on the web. It confirms that the new iPhone 5S will have a fingerptint sensor, called "Touch ID". Although some names for the volume and the sleep/wake button don't mach with previous descriptions of previous model handbooks, it seems legit because Apple used this descriptions on some iPad and iPod models.

Furthermore, if this handbook is the real deal, we have the first picture for the new iPhone 5S.

You can clearly see that the home button has a chrome ring around it. This was rumored before in some posts.

This should brighten everyone’s day! Apple media event 2013

This should brighten everyone’s day

Apple is preparing for it's September 10 media event, which by the way is tomorrow with invitations sent for the press. The title will be: "This should brighten everyone's day". It is expected to launch it's new hardware line including the new Flagship iPhone 5S as a replacement model for the actual iPhone 5 and a lower cost iPhone, called the iPhone 5C. Rumors have been plenty in the last days showing the new iPhone 5C in it's original box with it's handbooks. It is expected to have the actual iPhone 5 hardware inside wrapped in a colorful plastic shell.
The event will take place tomorrow on September 10 at 10:00 AM Pacific Time and will be held at the company's headquarter in Cupertino, California.
Later this year a new line of iPads are expected but it is said that they will not be presented at this event. Maybe later, like Apple did last year with the iPad Mini.
Also the last version on OS X Mavericks will be presented before it launches to the public.
A number of Mac updates are going to be introduced later this year, Why later? Because Apple wants to offer full focus for this event to the iPhone.
We are looking forward to see the new devices!

Apple prepared it's headquarters for the media event in order to look like the event's theme.

Here are some leaked pictures of the iPhone 5C

The Budget iPhone

Apple has been rumored to launch a low-cost iPhone. The time is yet unknown but sure about it is that rumors are getting much intenser. Some days ago a chinese forum posted some pictures with renderings showing different colors for the cases. The cases are in the used colors for the iPhone bumpers. In those images we can see different colors for the  iPhone. The build material is plastic and the tech specifications are slightly different from those known from the iPhone 5. The lower-cost iPhone is a bit thicker and a little wider that the iPhone 5. The volume buttons show a different design turning from round like used to a rectangular form, also known from the iPod Touch. The screen dimensions are the same as the iPhone 5.

For the launch date, it is expected to be presented later this year, like Apple used to present the new iPhones, along the iPhone 5S flagship this fall.

This device is going to offer a more affordable iPhone for the markets in wich the Opperators subsidiaries are not that common.

So, all of this said, lets see how the new low-cost iPhone will look like and lets hope it will reach the right part of the smartphone market.

iOS 7

Time passed and the moment arrived Apple to present it's new iOS. It is called the iOS 7. It looks different. It looks better. But is it really going to be better and to be a breakthrough in all ways? At first sight you can see changes in the icons design. Everything was redesigned from the ground up. The icons have now a flat design.

Motion tracking. This feature allows users to see how the screen moves after their own movements and roll the background image in the direction the device moves.

The weather app was also redesigned. It shows the outside weather conditions live on the screen. For example: if outside is rain, the app shows rain on the background of the app.

The message app was redesignet, not to show any glossy corners for the chat bubbles.

The major news that will come with the iOS 7 is the Control Center that gives the opportunity to adjust the settings from a drop-down window, as shown in the first image. That is really good because you don't have to enter every time the settings meu to adjust some background light or ringer volume.

The other major improvement is the looks of the Multitasking Menu. When it opens it shows a new window and the running apps are shown in a larger form than used until now. You can see that in the third picture above.

And last but not least, there is AirDrop. It is a feature that gives users the possibility to share media with their friends or other Apple users. You for example can share photos or contacts using a single share button and connect to a friends iPhone via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. The shared content will be saved in appropriate locations, for example a photo will be saved in the Photos App and a contact will be saved in Contacts. You can see the AirDrop Menu in the third image below.

So, we have new design, some new features but still no widgets. Is it good? Or is it bad? What do you think? Fans will love the new iOS. Some will say it is the same thing with some slight color changes. Let us know what you feel?

iOS 7 is available already for developers on iPhone. iPad support will come at a later date. Consumers have to wait until this fall to take a taste of the new iOS.

iPhone 6

A few days ago some pictures appeared on the web. It is told that these pictures are leaks representing the revolutionary iPhone 6. Yes, it is known, that moment will be some time away but still, it is announced to be the revolution for the iPhone. Lately all other phone developers on the market have pushed their boundaries to release better and more better smartphones and somehow they succeeded. Apple betted on the evolution of it's products instead of a yearly revolution, but now it is said that they will change a lot.

GSM Arena has posted some pictures showing a totally new concept of iPhone. They say it could be the new iPhone 5S but more likely the iPhone 5S will benefit from a better camera and some improved performance and not much of a design change. We think it's more likely the iPhone 6 prototype.

Interesting is that leaks are more often nowadays and they are coming from trusted websites. We can see up a sketch showing the tech-specs for the new model.

The device doesn't seem to have the home button and the design looks like an earlier iPod Nano model, like the 4'th and the 5'th iPod Nano generation.

Steve Jobs' 4000 Latte prank order lives on at San Francisco Starbucks

At the launch of the original iPhone, Steve Jobs created a moment for which he will be remembered long time ago. This moment was one of the biggest laughs in his carrer. Te demonstrate the phone function of the newly introduced iPhone, he prank called a local Starbucks store and ordered 4.000 Lattes on the go. Just quickly before he hung up, he told the barista "No, just kidding. Wrong number! Goodbeye!"

"With help from Starbucks, Fast Company was able to track down Zhang, a soft-spoken barista who goes by "Hannah." Sincere and sweet, Hannah has been working at the same Starbucks for more than a half-decade. "Honestly, I was shocked," she recalls. "I have never heard somebody order 4,000 lattes to go. I didn't say anything because I was shocked. But my first impression was that he was just being humorous. He sounded like a gentleman."

The manager and the barista didn't knew until now what was with that prank phone call. They said that such an order would take 48 hours to be delivered but no one makes such a large order for real.

Steve Jobs wasn't making his first prank phone call bak then. Together with Steve Wozniak they tried to call the Pope at the time they were in high school.

Evasi0n is the first Untethered Jailbreak for iPhone 5 and iOS 6

Evad3rs is a new JailBreak team including some of the top jailbreak developers of the world. This moment marks the first time users have been able to set their iPhone 5 on iOS 6 free and do whatever they like to with their devices.

Evasi0n is a simple method to jailbreak the iPhone, it covers all Apple models that support iOS 6 and it is available for Mac OS X, Linux and Windows. It is a simple and quick method that provides other themes and tweaks than usual and Apps from other sources than the official AppStore.

Because it's an untethered jailbreak, users need apply only once evasi0n and the device stays jailbroken permanently unlike the tethered methods which require a computer connection for every restart.

iPad 5 First Photos Show a Smaller iPad Than Used

These images seem to show the rear panel of the next generation iPad which is rather smaller than the iPad we were used until today. Posts on the web say this could be the next generation but pictures were not confirmed yet. Although the case will be smaller in size, the screen will remain at the used size of 9.7".

Below we can see a comparison between the 5th generation iPad and and the actual iPad Mini. It seems the full-sized iPad will be almost as thin as the actual iPad Mini. In the pictures we can see the LTE version with the plastic antenna cover.

The edges and corners of the future generation will have the same pattern as the actual iPad Mini. You can say it is a stretched iPad Mini.

Images are more often now because Apple's asian supplier chain is growing and that makes it more difficult for Apple to control the flow of spy pictures.

From the upper image you can see how much smaller the next generation iPad will be in comparison to the actual iPad model.

Hackulous shuts down, taking with it popular pirated App source, Installous

Hackulous, the popular Cydia source is shutting down. Hackulous is known for holding the famous pirated app source, Installous which it is taking down to. In a message posted by Hackulous on it's page it says:

"We are very sad to announce that Hackulous is shutting down. After many years, our community has become stagnant and our forums are a bit of a ghost town. It has become difficult to keep them online and well-moderated, despite the devotion of our staff. We're incredibly thankful for the support we've had over the years and hope that new, greater communities blossom out of our absence."

For sure, also noted by other websites there will rise other sources to fill the gap. The closing of Hackulous will reate the necessary space.

Still today there are many Apple users who prefer to download cracked Apps and seeking to cheat developers for their app fees.

Piracy is a major problem because many developers see themselves forced to remove apps from the AppStore because they cannot run the servers with the revenues generated by legitimate users. Such an example is Hunted Cow which couldn't run the servers any more because piracy reached 90% of it's users and the revenues generated by legitimate sales were minor.
